Hey :) so I’m going on holiday next month and wanna be in good shape for it. I’m particularly looking to get rid of the remaining fat around my belly area.

I’ve been going the gym 6 days a week for the last 2 weeks and mainly doing a fair bit of cardio – I do 1 hour on the Cross (Elliptical) Trainer (burning 900 calories), plus an hour of brisk walking a day.

However I’m concerned that I should be alternating between cardio work and muscle-building work. What I’m trying to ask is, if I want to lose this remaining fat from my stomach should I be doing mainly cardio exercise or muscle-building exercise? Or an even amount of both??

I know that even if I did 1000000 crunches a day it wouldnt get rid of the belly fat, but I also know that increasing my muscle mass will help increase my metabolic rate and therefore allow me to burn calories more effectively. So, any tips on the most effective ways of reducing fat?

Also I heard that drinking lots of water is effective in reducing body fat percentage – is this true?

Thanks! :-)
